Dr. Dan Greif

Hello, I'm Dan.

You may be someone who's always tried to solve things on your own—thinking through problems, reading, reflecting. And yet something still feels stuck. That's often when therapy can help: by slowing down to understand what's happening beneath the surface.

I'm a licensed psychologist with over 15 years of experience supporting adults with anxiety, mood, and relationship challenges. My advanced training in Mindfulness and Psychotherapy shapes how I work—bringing presence and curiosity to our conversations.

I help adults who are thoughtful and self-aware but find that insight alone hasn't been enough to create change. Together, we focus on understanding the underlying patterns and developing new ways to relate to difficult emotions.

Outside of clinical work, you'll find me on trails, baking sourdough, or reading about the trees of New England.

Dan Greif

I work with people who are navigating:

Anxiety

That feeling of always bracing for something.

Depression

When the spark has gone out of things that used to matter.

Relationship Challenges

The same patterns keep showing up—whether with partners, family, or friends—and you're not sure how to break the cycle.

Attachment Patterns

Difficulty trusting, feeling secure, or letting people get close without pulling away.

Feeling Stuck

You're introspective and self-aware, but understanding hasn't translated into change.

Mood Concerns

Emotional swings or numbness that get in the way of how you want to show up.

My Approach

My work integrates relational and psychodynamic perspectives with mindfulness-based approaches. Together, we'll examine the underlying patterns in how you see yourself and connect with others, while building practical skills to help you live more in line with your values.

Therapy isn't just about solving problems or eliminating discomfort—it's about expanding your capacity to be with yourself and others. It's about reclaiming parts of you that may have gone quiet or into hiding, and finding more freedom in how you respond to life's challenges.

What stays consistent is my commitment to creating a space where you don't have to edit yourself. Whatever you're thinking or feeling—however trivial or uncomfortable it seems—has a place here.
